On Friday, hyderabad city gets the first hanging bridge, the bridge that was cabled on durgam pond was officially opened to the public by municipal administration and urban development minister KT Rama Rao. If the inauguration is not delayed, as mentioned earlier, we share that rainfall will continue in the state during the inauguration. The bridge, which has already become one of the city's hotspots, has officially entered the record books as the world's longest span concrete deck extra-dosed cable-stade bridge.

While praising this, Minister KT Rama Rao tweeted that another jewel was added to the city of Pearls. The 238 m long bridge was constructed under the Strategic Road Development Programme at a cost of Rs 180 crore and was appreciated by the engineering across the country. Rao started the 4 lane elevated corridor from Road No. 45 to Durgam Pond. The elevated corridor, 1,740 meters long and 16.60 meters wide, connects to the cable-stade bridge, which facilitates free traffic between Hitec City, Madhapur and Gachibowli. The minister also launched two boats for tourists visiting the Durgam pond.

For the final touch, several tests were conducted to ensure safety and quality, as mandatory load tests were performed on the bridge to check load carrying capacity and other elements. Load testing was done by imposing a load of 1,080 metric tons on deck. 36 trucks with 10 tyres and 24 trucks of 30 metric tons each were kept on the construction for 24 hours. This was the last test before opening to traffic.
