6045 cases in one day:AP

Going by the latest media bulletin released by the government of Andhra Pradesh, the state has witnessed a record-breaking day in terms of Covid-19 cases, number of tests, recoveries and deaths.


Andhra Pradesh performed a total of 49,553 tests in the last 24 hours which is the highest ever single-day tally till date.

The state reported 6045 cases today and this is the biggest ever spike. Incidentally, all the states were reported in Andhra Pradesh alone and no new cases have been reported in regard to inter-state travelers.

Also, 65 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours and this again, is the highest tally recorded in a 24-hour period. The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 in Andhra Pradesh are 823.

The only positive thing about the bulletin is the number of recoveries. A total of 6494 people have been cured and discharged in the past 24 hours. This is, by far, the most number of recoveries recorded in a day.

A total of 64,713 cases were reported in the state till date. The recovery rate is a little over 50%.
