90% of cases in Hyderabad are active

The most number of Coronavirus cases in India are coming from 10 major metropolitan cities of the country. One third of all these cases have been reported from Maharashtra itself, of which Mumbai remains to be the most affected.

However, there are now cities that are in a worse position when compared to Mumbai. Thane has the highest number of active cases in the country, with 34,721 active cases, while Pune is at the third spot with 25,510 active cases. Mumbai is at the fourth position with 22,888 active cases.


Our very own Hyderabad is at the second position, with the second highest number of active cases in the country. Hyderabad has a total of 28,783 active cases, and the numbers are only increasing.

Hyderabad also has a very low testing rate, which is further worsening the situation. It is now up to the people of Hyderabad to be the most careful about their health, and the health of those around them.
