Social media users are spreading baseless rumors

The government of Andhra Pradesh had already announced that serious action will be taken on social media users who spread misinformation, and run malicious campaigns against the state government.

Reportedly, the government of Andhra Pradesh has identified over 2000 such social media accounts which are apparently spreading fake news on the government of Andhra Pradesh.


These 2000 accounts are currently being tracked by concerned authorities. These accounts are spread across Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms.

If the government authorities come to know that these account holders are intentionally maligning the state government, stern action will be taken against them.

It needs to be noted that the state government says a few social media users are spreading baseless rumors which shed bad light on the state government in its fight against coronavirus.
