Another lockdown period likely?

India first went into a nationwide lockdown on March 25th, and the lockdown lasted for nearly two months, coming to an end on May 15th.


The central government had allowed a few relaxations by May 15th, and more and more relaxations were given after that. Slowly, more and more relaxations were given in the country, paving way for an eventual unlocking.

However, Coronavirus started to spread wider after unlocking, infecting more and more people on a daily basis. As a result, states like Tamil Nadu have already gone into an extended lockdown period.

Now, sources are saying that many more states might opt this route of extending lockdown, to reduce the number of cases.

States like Delhi and Mumbai said that they have no intention in imposing any lockdown, and recently the state of Karnataka has also said the same.

Telangana's stance is still unknown, but mostly, even the state of Telangana wouldn't be imposing any lockdown at this point.
