Jagan announces Rs 1 crore ex gratia

The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met with casualties of the Vizag gas leak incident in King George Hospital a short while ago.

Jagan is currently addressing the media and announced that the government will provide an ex gratia of Rs 1 crore to the families of those who lost their lives due to the gas leak.

"The government will speak with the company regarding the ex gratia. Even if they don't support the government financially, we will provide Rs 1 crore ex gratia to the families of those affected. If the company comes forward to help, we will definitely take their support," he said.

Also, Jagan announced a compensation of Rs 25 lakh to those who are currently being treated through ventilators. Those who recovered with preliminary treatment will be getting Rs 25,000 compensation.

Now, Jagan is holding an open review meeting regarding the gas leak incident and it is being covered by various media channels. This is a first-of-a-kind occurrence.
