Coronavirus Lockdown: 12-year-old girl dies while walking home

The central government initially announced a 21-day nationwide lockdown in the country, from March 25th to April 14th. However, with the intensity of the deadly coronavirus not decreasing, and only increasing by the day, the lockdown has been extended by two more weeks, till May 30th.

On the other hand, a few state governments, like the government of Telangana, have extended the lockdown beyond May 3rd. Telangana is now observing an extended lockdown till May 7th, and there are no exceptions for anyone during this lockdown, unlike what the central government had said.

According to the latest reports, in a very sad turn of events, a 12-year-old girl from Bijapur in Chhatisgarh, who is working in Mahbubnagar, Telangana, started walking home. After having walked for 100 KMs, she sadly died due to dehydration.
