Lockdown to increase by 2 more weeks

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a nationwide lockdown as soon as the spread of Coronavirus was increasing in the country. He asked every Indian to stay at home for 21 days to fight the Coronavirus pandemic. The 21 day lockdown is about to be over in a couple days, on April 14th.

To discuss about what's to be done next during this criies, Narendra Modi conducted a video conference with all the Chief Ministers. Most of the Chief Ministers habe already requested Modi to extend the lockdown by 2 more weeks, to make sure that the situation doesn't worsen.

Sources say that the PM is thinking about these suggestions and will come to a decision very soon, after which he will make an official announcement. It is now to be seen what will happen.

On the other hand, the states of Orissa and Punjab have already extended their lockdown for 2 more weeks, till April 30th and May 1st respectively.
