The government of Andhra Pradesh has proposed to set up two Coronavirus testing laboratories in the state.

If the central government gives necessary permissions, these labs and will be up and running in just 10 days, said an authorised government official.

As of now, there are a total of 7 testing laboratories in Andhra Pradesh and 1170 samples are being tested per day. If these two new laboratories are functional, the number of tests being performed will be rising up to 1530 per day, which is a very positive sign.

The two new laboratories will be established in Tirupati and Kurnool.

As a part of this scheme, beneficiaries will be getting their ration supply coupons door delivered by village volunteers. These coupons can be used to avail essential commodities at selected outlets. This process will kick-start from April 15th. Related works are underway already.
