AP govt issues ordinance to remove SEC Ramesh Kumar

Andhra Pradesh Government has removed state election commissioner Ramesh Kumar by passing an ordinance and they even started the process to appoint a new commissioner.

By amending panchayat raj act 1994 govt moved an ordinance over the change of tenure and policy change in election commissioner appointment. The tenure has been cut to 3 years from 5 years. As Ramesh kumar has already completed 4 years of his tenure he was inmeduately removed.

Governor Bishwabhushan approves the ordinance sent by YsRCP government on Friday.

Ramesh kumar is in plans to move High Court over this removal.
