Government says there is no plan to extend lockdown

Coronavirus has spread to almost every country in the world, and most of the world is in a state of lockdown currently. Prim Minister Narendra Modi too put India in a state of lockdown till April 14th, for a span of 21 days.

There have been several reports saying that the lockdown would be extended till the end of May, with a total span of 3 months. However, several government officials have stated that these are all rumors and that the government has no plans to extend the lockdown after the 21-day deadline is done.

India will face a heavy economic crisis after this lockdown, and if the lockdown is extended, then the situation will be worse.

The total number of cases in India has already crossed 1,120, and the number is increasing after the Delhi Meeting. It is now to be seen what the government will further do to curb the spread of the disease.
