Corona: Center passes strict orders to state governments

The government of India and respective State governments are continuously monitoring the spread of Coronavirus in the country. The central government is assessing the situation and passing key orders to state governments.

The latest update is that the central government ordered state governments to completely shut down state borders except for goods transport.

A person residing in a state will not be allowed into another state. If anyone disobeys this and crosses the state border, they will be put in home quarantine for 14 days without any exceptions.

South Indian states like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka had already shut their borders much before the central government's orders.
