Telangana lock down strict orders

The Chief Minister of Telangana, K Chandrashekhar Rao has declared on Sunday evening that the state of Telangana would be in total lockdown till March 31st. Basic and important necessities will be available throughout the state, but otherwise, everyone is under strict orders to stay at home.

Elaborating on this, Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar has said the following:
1. Lockdown is being done under section 1897
2. Borders between states will be closed
3. RTC buses and other public means of transportation will be closed
4. More than 5 people are not allowed to gather at one place
5. All exams are postponed
6. No one is allowed to be on the roads between 7 PM and 6 AM
7. No kind of vehicles are allowed onto the roads
8. Agriculture will proceed as is
9. Those who returned from abroad recently are prohibited from leaving the house. If they leave the house, severe actions will be taken.

DGP Mahender Reddy has said the following, in addition to what the Chief Secretary has said:
1. Private vehicles are allowed to carry only important items
2. Any kind of violation would be treated as a criminal offense
3. Media is allowed to be going around
