Telangana Prepares For Municipal Elections

Even though the notification for municipal polls hasn't been given out yet, preparations for the polls are in full swing. All the Telangana parties are preparing for the polls, readying their manifestos in time.

The BJP is conducting a survey to figure out all the problems in the various municipalities, and have said that TRS has starved the urban local bodies, because of which sanitation has become the worst. They are conducting this survey after consulting with the in-charges of the 15 clusters, into which the 130 municipalities of the state have been divided.

On the other hand, the Congress party seems to be conducting its own survey in this regard. However, seems like BJP will be moving ahead with its plan to use the central fund for the works here in the municipalities.

TRS had launched its campaign on Saturday, with Municipal administration minister KTR, expected to conduct a meeting for this purpose in the next two days. The party is banking on its achievements in the last six years, to win this election.
