TRS should be open about CAA and NRC

In an interactive session on Sunday, Telangana State BJP president K. Laxman said that the party will try convincing Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and Janata Dal-United (JD-U) regarding the passing of National Register of Citizens (NRC).

He said that both the parties are opposing the passing of NRC, but have no qualms about the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). He said that neither NRC nor CAA has anything to do with a citizen of India and only pertains to the refugees living in the country, also saying that it was humanitarian ac on the government's part/.

Laxman also added that it was BJP's credit that AIMIM leader Owaisi started hoisting Indian national flags and began to sing the National anthem.

The state BJP president also said that Congress and TRS are created unnecessary chaos and confusion about the act when it has nothing to do with the citizens of India in the first place. He also said that TRS should be open about CAA and NRC, and not beat around the bush.
