Hyderabad, January 16: We all knew that, Telangana Rashtra Samithi and YSR Congress Party on Wednesday held talks on the Federal Front proposed by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for greater good of people in Telugu States.
In this regard, YSR Congress Party declared that it believes in the TRS party’s stand that regional voices can get stronger in the Parliament and justice will be done to the States only when like-minded parties unite to pressurise the Centre.
On Today, TRS working president KT Rama Rao and YSRCP President YS Jaganmohan Reddy, confirmed talks of a Federal Front for the upcoming 2019 elections. Both the leaders stated that they have discussed the possibility of an alliance as well the possible reasons to come together and fight the elections. They also decided to take the talks further where Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao himself will call on Jaganmohan Reddy in Andhra Pradesh shortly.
“KCR Gaaru is making an effort to bring qualitative changes in the national politics by bringing together like-minded regional parties. He called up Jaganmohan Reddy and spoke over phone about Federal Front. Like-minded forces believe in strengthening regional forces. He will go to Andhra Pradesh and talk in detail about the Federal Front with Jagan,” KT Rama Rao told mediapersons after holding two hour-long discussion with the YSRCP Chief.
YCP supremo also too echoed the views of Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao and welcomed the latter’s efforts to create a larger platform for the regional parties to raise a stronger voice against the Centre’s injustice to the States. He also hinted that special category status to Andhra Pradesh, which the Centre is yet to sanction, was one of the major reasons behind his discussions with TRS leadership.
