Assembly sessions begin today

The budget session of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly starts today and will go on till July 30th with 14 working days in between. Finance Minister Bugganna Rajendranath will be presenting the state budget in the house tomorrow which will be followed by a presentation of agriculture by minister K Kanna Babu.

YSRCP has lined up 20 items for discussion which includes some of their flagship schemes including 'Navratnas' while atleast 10 bills are expected to be presented in the Assembly for legislation. The Business Advisory Committee of the assembly met on Wednesday to finalise the agenda. The meeting was chaired by speaker Tamineni Seetaram and was also attended by Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy. Leader of opposition Chandrababu Naidu gave the meeting a miss and deputed K Attchannaidu for the meeting.

The TDP wanted a discussion on the drought situation and attack on the party's workers in in the state. Agriculture minister K Kanna Babu said that YSRCP was ready to hold discussions on any meaningful issue and will conduct the session for any number of days. "We are ready for discussion on any issue that the opposition party intends to raise in the Assembly."

He further pointed out that opposition TDP was only interested in discussing the law and order situation in the state and nothing more.
