India-US relations have been strengthened

TOKYO: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held bilateral talks with U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday before the start of the Osaka G-20 summit. At the G-20 Summit, the bilateral meeting between India and the United States discussed 4 issues: Iran, 5G, bilateral relations and defence issues.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Modi said, India-US relations have been strengthened. Prime Minister Modi said, The mantra of India is all-round and development. He said Japan, the United States and India means'Jai' .

US President Donald Trump congratulates PM Modi for his spectacular victory in the Lok Sabha elections. At the same time, Trump said, "We have become good friends. I strongly want to say that we will work together in the military and other fields. Shortly after the Japan-U.S.-India trilateral meeting, the two leaders held talks in which PM Modi underscored the "importance of India" for the G-20 group.

The PM Modi-Donald Trump meeting is also significant because the US President has been openly critical of India's decision to impose "extremely high" tariffs on American products. Trump earlier on Thursday arrived in Japan in a tweet saying, "I want to talk to PM Modi about whether India has imposed more tariffs against the US over the years and has been further enhanced in recent times. This is unacceptable and the increased fee must be withdrawn," he said.
