Special Status is a Closed Chapter

Here is the latest news that, Union Minister of State for Home Kishan Reddy has asserted that the special status promise is a closed chapter and there would be no scope for a discussion on the issue.

He said that he would make every effort to do justice to AP in fulfilling its bifurcation promises. His comments came as a counter to the continuing statements of YCP leaders that special status is very important for the development of AP.

YCP MP Vijayasai Reddy said that special status is like oxygen for AP. Though the BJP is dismissing talk on special status, the ruling YCP leaders are increasing their rhetoric at every forum.

It is well-known news that, CM Jaganmohan Reddy raised the issue at the Niti Ayog but there was no response from PM Modi. Now the Centre's clarification came from Kishan Reddy.
