Breaking: BJP to Support TRS

Hyderabad, December 09: Here is the latest and Breaking news that, The Telangana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday said that it was ready to support the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) to form the state government, if the latter fell short of the magic number in the Legislative Assembly election held on December 7. However, it said that it would only extend support if the TRS cuts its ‘friendly’ relationship with the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM).

In this regard, Speaking to local media outlets on Saturday, BJP state President Dr K Laxman said, “The BJP’s vote share has increased greatly more than we expected. We also hope to win more seats when the results are declared. No party will get a clear majority and we feel that we will play a key role after the results.”

Asked about whether the party would support the TRS, Laxman said, “We will speak to the high command in New Delhi and consider it. We will extend our support if it is needed. But we will never hold talks with the AIMIM or the Congress-led alliance.”
