Man blackmails woman with her private pics for sex

Hyderabad, Apr 08: A 27-year-old man from the city who sexually assaulted a girl by blackmailing her with private pictures of herself and forced her to undergo three abortions was arrested by the Malkajgiri police on Sunday.

The police found that the accused, Sai Teja(27) had installed an application on the woman’s phone which captured her images and sent them to his phone without her knowledge.

On March 23, the girl, who is pursuing her graduation, lodged a complaint with the Malkajgiri police that she had been cheated by Sai Teja, an unemployed resident of Ramnagar in Musheerabad.

She said Sai Teja had sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions by threatening that he would put her private pictures on the net if she did not give in to her. She alleged that he made her pregnant thrice and forced her to undergo an abortion each time.

During the investigation, it came to light that the accused had collected private pictures of the girl on his mobile phone through the app which he had installed secretly on the girl's phone.

The Malkajgiri police said that the sister of the accused and the victim were classmates. They were studying B.Pharm at a college in Boduppal. While dropping his sister to college, Sai Teja met the victim and befriended her. Later, he got intimate with the girl and proposed marriage to her.

"Sai Teja installed an AVS (audio-video streamer) application in the victim’s mobile phone without her knowledge. With the aid of the application, he collected private pictures and videos of her. He used those images and videos to blackmail her and demanded that she should extend sexual favours to him," a Malkajgiri police officer said.

"The victim gave in to the pressure and the blackmail. He took her to hotels and sexually assaulted her multiple times," the officer said. The police arrested Sai Teja on Sunday and remanded him in judicial custody.
