Will Non-Mahakutami YSRCP support TRS in Telangana?

Hyderabad, Nov 26: As reportedly informed, the YSRCP and TRS have joined hands to beat their common rival party TDP and common rival leader N Chandrababu Naidu in ensuing Telangana Assembly polls.

YSRCP and TRS have struck a secret internal deal to beat Mahakutami comprising of TDP in Telangana Assembly polls. The deal was proposed by TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao and his son K T Rama Rao.

According to reliable sources, it was learnt that YSRCP chief YS Jagan has approved this secret pact as it is mutually beneficial for both TRS and YSRCP. It may be recalled that YSRCP has recently announced that it will not contest TS Assembly polls because it wants to focus all it s energies on AP Assembly polls to be held in April 2019.

However, YSRCP had a vote share of nearly 4 per cent in Telangana as per Assembly results declared in 2014. It won 1 Lok Sabha and 3 Assembly seats in Telangana in 2014, though all in Khammam district. However, within a year, the YSRCP MP and MLAs have joined TRS.

It is widely believed that they joined TRS on the instructions of Jagan, who wanted to maintain cordial relations with TRS. Later, the YSRCP helped TRS by not contesting GHMC elections.

The deal entered by YSRCP and TRS is to check TDP and Chandrababu Naidu becoming even more stronger politically if Mahakutami wins TS Assembly polls. They feel that Naidu heading government in AP and Naidu playing crucial role in Mahakutami government in Telangana will turn detrimental for both the parties in the coming days.

Jagan agreed to his deal because he doesn t want face stronger Naidu in AP Assembly polls. TRS moved this proposal because it doesn t want Naidu and TDP to strengthen again in Telangana as TDP was almost washed out by TRS in the last four years after bifurcation of state.

Taking all these factors into consideration, TRS and YSRCP have decided to work together to check Naidu. YSRCP leaders and cadre will now work for the victory of TRS candidates and defeat of Mahakutami candidates in Telangana polls.
