Women's Day: 14 Women to be awarded by TS government

Hyderabad, Mar 07: Fourteen women have been selected by the Telangana state government by the director of women development and child welfare department for the ocassion of Women’s Day.

The working women are going to be honoured from the fields of literature, dance, music, arts, painting, entrepreneur, sports, defence services, engineering, social service, journalism and singing. A cash award of Rs 1 lakh will also be given to the women by the state government.

Dr Amma Sridevi, working for senior citizens, Kammari Saraswathi working for manual scavengers, Apka Mallurama working for healthcare in the tribes are some of the women to be awarded.
