IAF Pilot Abhinandhan's Father Once Assisted Mani Ratnam?

Mumbai, Feb 28: It was known that IAF wing commander Abhinandhan was captured by Pakistan Air Force. However, Pakistan's Prime minister Imran Khan stated that they will release him as a gesture of peace. But there is an interesting fact about Abhinandhan's father S Vardhaman.

He is also a retired fighter pilot who once served the country during the Kargil war. His family got settled down in TN, and Mani Ratnam once took Vardhaman's assistance for his movie Kaatru Veliyidai starring karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari.

Interestingly, this movie also revolves around a IAF pilot who got captured by Pakistan Military during the Kargil war. It is a mere coincidence for Vardham to have his son Abhinandhan in the same situation right now.
