Amaravati, Feb 28: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president N Raghveera Reddy heavily slammed the Vishakapatnam railway zone announcement.
The state Congress president alleged that the sanctioning of the Vishakapatnam railway zone was an eyewash. He also implied that the railway zone announcement was made just before PM Modi's visit to Vishakapatnam this Friday, to mitigate the discontent of Andhra people.
Speaking to the media last evening, Ragheveera Reddy demanded the central government rectify the lapses in announcing railway zone.
"Because of the new zone the income will come down to Rs 7000 crore out of Rs 11,000 crore rupees. Cutting across party lines all are eagerly waiting to see AICC president Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister.", Raghuveera told the media.
"As many as 20 parties are with Rahul Gandhi. BJP cannot get even deposits in the ensuing elections". added the Congress state president.
