Boney Kapoor auctions her Wife favourite sari for charity ahead of Sridevi's first death anniversary

Mumbai, Feb23: Legendary actress Sridevi left us last year and we are still living with a large void that cannot be filled. It was disheartening for fans and admirers but extremely dismaying and painful for the entire Kapoor family, especially daughter Janhvi Kapoor who was about to make her debut in the world of showbiz with Dhadak. While that was then, it's been almost a year now that we bid the legend goodbye but what do you do about all the memories that are still fresh in one's memories. You cherish them...And husband Boney Kapoor who recently performed a puja at the icon's Chennai residence has found a way to honor her memories in the most heart-warming way.

The family is all set to auction one of her favorite saris, a hand-worn Kota sari online on Parisera Diaries. The bid begins at Rs 40,000 and so far has gone up to Rs 1,25,000. and the proceeds of the same will go to a 27-Year old Non-Profit organization Concern India Foundation. This charitable trust helps in the empowerment of women and strives in the upliftment of various underprivileged sections of the society. The homage mentions the sari as a 'constant reminder of her roots and added that ''Sridevi's style has evolved since her early days in the film industry. But, the six yards has been a constant reminder of her roots. Being born in a South-Indian household, the actress has worn saris as a badge of her identity and has always infused a sense of unique charisma into its pleats."
