Hyderabad, Sept 29: After all, Telangana is going to polls most likely in November (or) December, as anticipated by Telangana Rashtra Samithi president chief minister KCR during the disintegration of the assembly early this month.
The Election Commission of India members, who met in New Delhi on Friday, are noticed to have decided to combine the assembly elections of Telangana along with that of 4 other states – Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram.
The EC members reportedly expressed amusement over the report submitted by EC official Umesh Sinha on the mobility of Telangana in directing the elections.
Another committee of the EC would be coming to Telangana in one more week (or) 10 days to have a final judgement of the ground situation in the state.
After that, the EC will come to a conclusion on the exact date of the elections in Telangana. "In any case, the schedule is expected to be announced for 5 states in the 2nd week of October," the EC sources said.
Once the schedule is announced, the actual election heat will pick up in the state. It is thought that political parties are bracing for an interesting battle within in time.
