Chandrababu Naidu to stage Deeksha tomorrow

Rajahmundry, Sept 28: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will grade 'Dharma Porata Deeksha' in West Godavari on September 29 where nearly 2 lakh people from 15 Assembly segments at Tadepalligudem would be attending the event.

Minister for civil supplies and West Godavari in-charge Prathipati Pulla Rao told media at Tadepalligudem on Thursday that as the BJP-led NDA regime under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi reversed on its commitment to implement provisions of AP Reorganisation Act, 2014.

Also failed to fulfil the promises given on the floor of Rajya Sabha by the then Congress-led UPA administration, the residuary state of AP had to suffer a lot of hardships. The Chief Minister would bring about awareness among people on how the state was being exposed to injustice by the Centre.

Disclosing about the arrangements being made for the programme, the minister said that nearly 2,000 RTC buses, 2,000 cars and 6,000 other vehicles would be set up to mass about 2 lakh people from 15 Assembly segments in the district to the venue at Tadepallligudem for attending the meeting.

He said that 6 committees have been set up to oversee the arrangements ranging from providing hospitality to the guests and visitors to supply of drinking water, food, parking space of vehicles and for making other arrangements.

He said that nearly 140 leaders could be accommodated to sit on the dais at the meeting. West Godavari SP M. Ravi Prakash and district in-charge collector M. Venugopal Reddy inspected the arrangements.
