Hyderabad: Ganesh immersion Latest Update

Ahead of Ganesh immersion, Hyderabad police commissioner Anjani Kumar passed orders to shut down toddy shops and bars, including ones attached to restaurants, on September 23 and 24.

Coming to matter, The orders were passed for ensuring public peace and tranquility and to ensure a smooth procession.

"All police inspectors and additional inspectors of law and order police stations in Hyderabad will be authorised to take appropriate legal action against those who violate this rule," the commissioner said.

. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sumit Kumar said immersion would be held for three days, from September 21 to 23 at sand ramp near Head Water Works.

He asked irrigation department officials to arrange a speed boat at the immersion point and directed fisheries department officials to keep swimmers ready to meet any emergency. Two punts also be arranged at the point.
