Kurnool: In a good news for Rayalaseema people to get drought-free, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who is touring Kurnool district today, will perform Harathi for the Jalasiri (reservoir) at Srisailam in Kurnool district.

The water reserves in Srisailam Dam, which will be distributed to Rayalaseema districts, is the result of the completion of Pattiseema lift irrigation scheme, as part of Polavaram project.



The release of the water to the dry districts of Rayalaseema region is being celebrated with worship. Chandrababu will perform the rituals. Pattiseema scheme has earned a place in Limca Book of Records, for completion in the same year as laying the foundation stone.
