Congress leader Jana Reddy challenges KCR

Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader K Jana Reddy on Saturday challenged the caretaker Chief Minister to prove his remarks against him about "joining TRS" or tender apology.

KCR, during his kick-off meeting at Husnabad, had claimed that Jana Reddy had remarked in the Assembly that "he would seek votes wearing pink kanduva for TRS if the government overcomes power crisis".

The Congress leader asked KCR to make the records of Assembly public to prove his point. Addressing media persons, Jana Reddy said that he never ever said in the Assembly that he would adorn the TRS scarf around his neck, a symbol of entering TRS, if the government would be able to produce 24,570 MWs of power in its term of five years.

Reddy said that 24-hour time would be given to the caretaker Chief Minister to come out with the video recordings of the Assembly. If KCR proves his claims he would leave the politics forever or would even not hesitate to stand on his alleged assurance. If KCR fails, he should tender an apology.

The former leader of Congress Legislature Party said that the Chief Minister vowed in the Assembly that if he fails to construct 2.6 lakh double bedroom houses in five year he would not ask votes for TRS. The Chief Minister failed to complete the target.

He said that there was a need to raise the level of practicing high values in politics. He advised the caretaker Chief Minister not to lower the levels of values by speaking lies.
