Hyderabad: In a shocking political development, Former Assembly Speaker in undivided Andhra Pradesh and senior Congress leader K Suresh Reddy joined the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi here on Friday.
Coming as it does a day after the dissolution of the State Assembly, and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao releasing the list of candidates for 105 of the 119 Assembly seats, Suresh Reddy’s entry into TRS is being seen as politically significant.
The former speaker joined the TRS in the presence of IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao and other TRS leaders at the former's residence here. Rama Rao invited Suresh Reddy to join the party.
"I believe that all the schemes and initiatives undertaken by the TRS government should continue without any break for the good of the State," Suresh Reddy said, addressing the media along with Rama Rao.
