The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday afternoon (September 1) announced the squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2018 on Saturday.
Virat Kohli has been omitted from the 16-member squad and thus Rohit Sharma will be leading India.
MS Dhoni is back along with fit-again Bhuvneshwar Kumar, while the squad sees a new name, 20-year-old Khaleel Ahmed, while the wait for Mayank Agarwal continues.
Manish Pandey makes a comeback in the Indian squad after performing brilliantly in quadrangular series. Kedar Jadhav returns to the team after an injury in the Indian Premier League season 11.
Ambati Rayudu also has been rewarded with great performances.
