Here is the latest update is that, Four days after a Naxal surrendered before police, he was stabbed to death by his former companions at Cholnar village in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada District early today, police officials said.

According to the Superintendent of Police A Pallav said that Podia Wadde (55) a member of the recruitment wing of Maoists had played a significant role in Cholnar blasts in April.

He was also wanted in connection with the murder of his cousin village sarpanch in 2017 besides in a number of other cases.

He also added that Podia was advised not to return to village but with his another brother at Kirundul. However, he did not agree and returned to his village.
