Vice President Visit to Hyderabad, Traffic Restrictions issued

Hyderabad, Aug 28: The Hyderabad police have restricted traffic in the view of vice-president M. Venkaiah Naidu visit to the city.

In view of Vice President Venkaiah Naidu's visit to the city, the Hyderabad Traffic Police issued an advisory between Tuesday and Friday, informing commuters that traffic would either be stopped or diverted at several places.

On Tuesday, traffic restrictions will be in place between Begumpet Airport and the VP's residence at Road number 12 in Banjara Hills from between 1:05 pm and 1:50 pm.

This would include the areas around Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet Flyover, CM's Camp Office, Panjagutta Flyover, Srinagar Colony T Junction, LV Prasad Eye Hospital, KBR park junction and TRS Bhavan.

On Wednesday, there would be restrictions between 10:20 am and 11:05 am from the VP's residence to the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in King Koti, which would include areas like Vengal Rao bus stop, CRPF Camp Office, Masab Tank, Mahavaeer Hospital, Saifabad old PS, Ravindra Bharati, Basheerbagh flyover and Nizam College.

Traffic restrictions would also be in place at areas like Hyderabad city police commissionerate, Liberty junction, Telugu Talli junction, NTR Ghat, Khairatabad and Taj Krishna junction between 11:45 am and 12:30 pm as the VP makes his way back to his residence.

On Thursday, Venkaiah Naidu will travel from his residence to the National Institute for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR) between 9:15 am and 10:05 am.

This would result in traffic restrictions along similar points up to Masab Tank before the convoy heads to the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) office and the Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital and the PVNR Expressway.

At the NIRDPR, the Vice President will attend the 2nd edition of the Rural Innovators Start-up Conclave (RISC), which has attracted over around 300 participants from 23 states.

"This unique two-day conclave (30th & 31st August 2018) aims to identify Rural Innovations and Startups and create a platform to provide exposure, education and capacity building besides mentoring and incubation for Rural Startups and hand hold numerous innovations for transforming rural India," a press release stated.

Traffic restrictions will again be in place at various parts of the city as the VP heads back to his residence between 11:15 am and 12:05 pm.
