Tamil Star Vijay donates whopping amount to Kerala Victims

Hyderabad, Aug 22: Kollywood Star Thalapathy Vijay like always has gone a mile extra by donating huge for the relief work of flood-hit Kerala. The actor has reportedly donated Rs 70 Lakhs to help the people suffering in Kerala floods.

This is said to be the highest contribution among Kollywood actors. Vijay has also announced of donating essential needs for the victims of Kerala floods worth Rs 1 crore.

"#ThalapathVijay is doing his bit towards #KeralaFloodRelief through his fan clubs. He has pledged Rs.70 lakhs via their bank accounts and asked them to directly reach across those in need of relief and rehabilitation. [sic]" Sreedhar Pillai tweeted about his donation.

Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and many others have come out to help flood-hit Kerala. A lot of people are extending their support to the victims by contributing money and everything that is possible. Celebrities from the film industry have also been urging their fans to support as much as they can.

List of actors who made donations for Kerala

Celebrities including Kamal Haasan, Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Sethupathi, Sidharth, Dhanush have donated money. Allu Arjun has donated Rs 25 lakh, Kamal Haasan Rs 25 lakh, Mammootty and Dulquer Salmaan Rs 25 lakh, Anupama Parameshwaran Rs 1 lakh, Vijay Sethupathi Rs 25 lakh, Siddharth Rs 10 lakh, Dhanush Rs 15 lakh, Sivakarthikeyan Rs 10 lakh, Nayanthara Rs 10 lakh, Vishal Rs 10 lakh, Vijay Devarakonda Rs 5 lakh among others have helped their bit.

On the work front, Vijay will be seen in his much-talked about film, Sarkar. Featuring Vijay in a stylish role, Sarkar is said to be an action entertainer and will have A.R.Murugadoss mark to it. Keerthy Suresh would be playing the female lead in Sarkar and will be her second film with Vijay after Bairavaa.

Veteran actor Livingston would be seen playing an important role in the film. More details about the rest of the cast is yet to be revealed by the makers.
