Heavy Rains hits Hyderabad, irks in Traffic issues

Hyderabad, Aug 20: Hyderabad is receiving incessant showers since Sunday night and all through Monday morning which has caused a lot of inconvenience to the public in the city as they struggled with traffic congestions at almost all the major routes.

The traffic snarls were reported at Erragadda, Madhapur, Chintal, and others during peak hours of the day as commuters continued to face a lot of inconvenience with rains continuing to lash the city.

Several places even reported water stagnation and the GHMC emergency teams were pressed into service to clear water logging and facilitate smooth flow of traffic.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast in Hyderabad, the city was in-line to receive heavy rainfall on Monday.
