Confirmed: Rajinikanth to romance this HOT Beauty

Chennai, Aug 20: Actress Trisha opened her account in 2018 with the underwhelming horror flick Mohini. The film, directed by Ramana Madhesh was a dud at the box office. However, she sort of redeemed herself when the trailer of Prem Kumar's 96 released.

There were strong rumours doing the rounds that Trisha was being considered to play Rajinikanth's pair in Karthik Subbaraj's untitled film. On August 20, Sun Pictures confirmed that Trisha is a part of the team.

She is expected to join the shoot of this Rajinikanth-starrer in the coming weeks. In the 15 years of Trisha's film career, she has teamed up with A-list actors in Tamil and Telugu except for Rajinikanth. Karthik Subbaraj's film marks the first collaboration of Trisha and Rajinikanth.

The team shot the first schedule of the untitled film in Dehradun. Apart from Rajinikanth and Trisha, Vijay Sethupathi, Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Simran and Bobby Simhaa are part of the supporting cast.

Produced by Sun Pictures, the film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The untitled film is being made at a mammoth budget. It is said that Rajinikanth himself is being paid a whopping Rs 65 crore as remuneration.
