Geetha Govindam crosses 1 Million Mark in US

Hyderabad, Aug 18: Tollywood Youth Star Vijay Deverakonda's Geetha Govindam is heading towards a fantastic weekend run at the USA Box Office. The movie has crossed the coveted One Million Dollar Mark with a mindblowing outing on Friday.

The movie has collected $230K from locations on Friday and it has reached the magical figure with early collections of Saturday. The movie also performed very well in the working days in USA. This is the third one Million Dollar film for Vijay Deverakonda after Pellichoopulu and Arjun Reddy.

Interestingly, Ram Charan has only two One Million Dollar films in his career – Dhruva and Rangasthalam.

On the other side, the movie is equally strong in the domestic markets as well. The movie is profitable in just two days of its release and is minting profits since yesterday. The trade experts say the film may touch the 40 Crore Share mark if not more in its full run which will be a sensational achievement if it happens.

It will also be helped by the fact that there are no notable releases in Telugu until the release of Naga Chaitanya's Shailaja Reddy Alludu on 31st of this month. Families are thronging to the theaters in big numbers which indicates that he will be a competition for Nani going forward.
