Telangana Politicians mourns Vajpayees Death

Hyderabad, Aug 16: The Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has expressed deep condolences at the passing of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee here on Thursday.

The former prime minister was not just respected within the country but was also a role model for the entire world, Chandrashekhar Rao said. Recalling Vajpayee's many accomplishments including the award for Best Parliamentarian, he said Vajpayee led the nation with distinction and followed politics based on principles."His passing is a great loss to the country," Chandrashekhar Rao said.

"I pray that his soul rest in peace. He was a man who led a humble life, a great humanitarian, poet and philosopher. All his life, he dedicated himself to work for the principles he believed in," Chandrashekhar Rao said.

IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao described Vajpayee as "A leader in the true sense of the word, an orator par excellence, a man admired across party lines and a true statesman." In a tweet, Rama Rao said: "Vajpayee will be remembered by future generations for making our nation stronger. Rest in peace Atal Ji."

Lok Sabha member K Kavitha, expressing deep sorrow at Vajpayee's death, said: "India on Thursday lost a great leader. He will remain an inspiration for generations to come. Vajpayee had earned great admiration from the people as a leader, politician, poet and writer. I convey my condolences to his family and followers."

Many others including senior BJP leaders from the State, Bandaru Dattatreya, G Kishan Reddy, Telangana Congress president N Uttam Kumar Reddy joined in paying rich tributes to Vajpayee and condoled his death.
