PM Modi reaches AIIMS

New Delhi, Aug 16: We already knew that The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Thursday said that the condition of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the former Prime Minister of India, continues to remain critical.

On Wednesday evening, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited AIIMS to inquire about Vajpayee's health.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah have left AIIMS after seeing former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who remains critical and on life support. The duo were reportedly briefed on Vajpayee's fragile health. The Bharatiya Janata Party has postponed all its key events, including its National Executive meeting, which was scheduled for August 18-19. Several leaders, including Manmohan Singh and Arvind Kejriwal, have visited Vajpayee in hospital, while Rahul Gandhi is expected soon

Security has been beefed up around AIIMS and PM Narendra Modi is expected to visit AIIMS once again on Thursday.

On Thursday morning, the hospital issued a fresh medical bulletin and said that there was no change in the condition of the former PM's health condition. Vajpayee, 93 was admitted to AIIMS on June 11 for a urinary tract infection.
