Telangana: 12 Telangana Cops bags Presidents Police Medal

Hyderabad, Aug 15: In a major achievement, Additional Director-General of Police, Railways and Road Safety, Sandeep Shandilya, and Karimnagar Police Commissioner VB Kamalasan Reddy are among the 12 police personnel who bagged the President's Police Medal (PPM) for distinguished services and Indian Police Medal ((IPM) for meritorious services.

Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) announced the awards on the occasion of Independence Day. The list of the police personnel who got IPM awards is as follows: Karimnagar Police Commissioner VB Kamalasan Reddy, DIG (Communications) Jakkula Srinivasa Rao, Bhupalapally Telangana State Special Police Assistant Commandant MGS. Prakasa Rao, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters, Cyberabad) Mettu Manik Raj, Intelligence Inspector Ch Raghunandan Rao, Siddipet SIP, CSB, Gurrappagari Rajulu, RBVRR Telangana State Police Academy head constable Manoj Kumar Dubey, Intelligence Security Wing (ISW) head constable Kokkonda Ram Prasad and Kothagudem Bomb Disposal Squad Assistant Reserve Sub-Inspector Lurdu Marianna Battu.

Additional Director-General of Police, Railways and Road Safety, Sandeep Shandilya and Superintendent of Police TS Cell Sub-Inspector Malneedi Krishna bagged PPM awards. Director-General of Police M Mahender Reddy congratulated the awardees and advised them to put in the same dedicated service.

Four officials from the Telangana Prisons department won Correctional Service Medals. They are Deputy Inspector General of Prisons, Hyderabad Range, B Saidaiah, Cherlapally Central Prison Head Warder B Balakrishna Reddy, Cherlapally Prisoners Agricultural Colony Warder Tirupati Bhaskara Chary and Warangal Central Prison Chief Head Warder Mohammed Anwar Zia.
