Rahul Gandhi alleges CM KCR over Jobs, 2BHK Scheme

Hyderabad, Aug 14: Congress President Rahul Gandhi attacked both Chief Minister K. Chandrasekar Rao and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, linking them to governing on false promises.

"Mr Modi promised to get Rs. 15 lakh into your account and KCR promised 2 lakh two-bedroom houses but both remained just false promises," he said, while addressing a well-attended public meeting at Serilingampally on Monday. Where were the double bedroom houses and a job to each family that Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao had promised before forming the government, he asked and said just 10,000 jobs were given in four years while more than one lakh vacancies existed.

Both leaders were just thriving on long speeches and suppressing voices for questioning their delivery. He asked media personnel whether they were able to write or show what they wanted. Those who wrote against them were targeted. But Congress would come back and press freedom would be restored, he said.

Targeting Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao, he said Telangana had seen the death of 4,000 farmers since its formation. It was a revenue surplus state when formed but was into heavy debts now. Each person in Telangana carried a debt of Rs. 2.6 lakh due to the policies of the Chief Minister.

Extending his full support to Special Status to Andhra Pradesh, Mr Gandhi said both AP and Telanagana would get what they were promised in the Bifurcation Act. He asked what the deal between Mr Modi and Mr Chandrasekhar Rao was that the latter did not demand what was due for Telangana in the last four years. At the same time, the Chief Minister had whole-heartedly supported decisions like demonetization and GST implementation.
