KCR ready for elections at any time

Hyderabad, Aug 14: Telangana Chief Minister Made sensational comments ahead of 2019 elections over the alliance with BJP Party.

He said ruled out any truck with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), saying that his Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) will “remain a secular party”.

He rubbished allegations by opposition Congress that he had entered into a secret understanding with the BJP.

Chandrashekar Rao on Monday said that his party was ready for elections at any time.

Addressing a press conference after the state committee meeting here at Telangana Bhavan, Chandrashekar Rao said that the TRS would go all alone in the next elections and said that a biggest ever public meeting would be organised on September 2 in an area of 1,500 yards in the outskirts of the city, in the name of ‘Pragathi Nivedana Sabha’ where the party would tell what the government has done for the people during the last four years.

Rao made it clear that the TRS will not have alliance with any other party and would go alone. He did not disclose whether the Assembly would be dissolved after the announcement of the candidates. “How can I tell whether Assembly will be dissolved? Do you think I will say this here? Even the cabinet ministers don’t know about it,” said Rao when asked about dissolving the Assembly. He said, the party committees including the constituency in charge secretaries would be active in the district from now onwards.

The Chief Minister told a news conference that the TRS will go it alone in the elections and announce its candidates next month.

Asked if he is going for early Assembly polls, the TRS leader said the party were ready for any eventuality.

“It can’t be called early polls as the Election Commission of India can hold elections any time six months before the end of the house term,” he said.
