Rahul Gandhi arrives in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Aug 13:Congress President Rahul Gandhi arrived at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad near here on Monday.

Rahul Gandhi is all set to launch the party's poll campaign for the just months away from general elections during his two-day visit to the city starting from Monday afternoon.

The Telangana Congress leaders have planned the visit of Mr.Gandhi with a view to enthusing the party cadre to get into the poll mode till the upcoming elections. He will hold a teleconference with booth committee and district unit presidents as part of his visit.

Mr Gandhi, during his first visit to Hyderabad after he took over the reins of Congress, will participate in a number of functions on Monday and Tuesday.

The highlight of Mr.Gandhi's visit will be paying respects at the Telangana Martyrs' Memorial at Gun Park in front of the state Assembly complex since the memorial has a lot of emotional relation to the separate Telangana state.

He will arrive at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad from Bidar in Karnataka at 1430 hours on Monday and will address a gathering of Women Self-Help groups at the nearby Classic Convention Centre. In the evening on the same day, he will address a public meeting at Serlingampalli.

The next day (Tuesday), he will interact with editors and senior scribes and later address young CEOs from both the Telugu states at a star hotel.

On Tuesday evening, Mr. Gandhi will address students and unemployed youth in Sarooranagar before leaving for Delhi the same night.

Elaborate arrangements have been made for the success of the visit with flex banners of Mr. Gandhi and welcome arches dotting the routes to be traversed by the Congress Chief.
