Hyderabad: B.Tech Student killed in accident

Hyderabad, Aug 10: In a tragic incident, A B.Tech Student was killed while his two friends suffered grievous injuries after their scooty thrashed by Toyota Innova at Bibinagar here on Thursday.

According to police The deceased student identified as Sivagoud, 18, from Kushayaguda, was staying at his grandmother's house in Yadagirigutta and studying the second year in Aurora Engineering College at Bhuvanagiri. The other two students are Bharat and Sairam. The trio was en route to VBIT College to write an examination.

They are crossing the road from the main road at Kondamagata Mettu thrashed by an Innova vehicle. Shiva Goud died on the spot, Sairam and Bharat were severely injured in the accident.

The scooty hits another young man Dorababu of Madavareddy colony injured on the hillside, who was waiting for the bus on the road while Innova was hit by the scooty and he was injured.

"The cause of the accident is that the Innova is an official vehicle of the Mission Bhagiratha Division. The body was shifted to Bhuvanigiri Area hospital for post-mortem and took them to Hyderabad for better treatment. The case is being investigated, "said SI Vijayakrishna.

Meanwhile, students have staged dharna before Bhuvanagiri Area hospital on Thursday demanding justice for the student Shivagoud family.

The owner of the car assured that he would pay 2 lakh as compensation to the victim family.
