Kollywood Star director turns Hero

Hyderabad, Aug 07: Kollywood Star director-producer is all set to play the lead role in a film, which will be directed by debutant Jay and will have actress Ivana of Naachiyaar fame in a crucial role.

Acclaimed-filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon has never shied away from playing cameos in films, and his latest cop act in Vijay Milton's 'Goli Soda 2' evoked good response from the audience. Now, it looks like the filmmaker has decided to take up acting full time, as he turns hero in his next.

Gautham Menon is all set to play the lead role in a film directed by debutant Jay, and the makers are expected to make an official announcement by the end of this month.

A source close to the team, told media, "Impressed with the script, Gautham Menon has given his nod to play the lead in the film. The film will go on floors on August 15 in the city, and it will be an intense thriller. He will be undergoing a complete makeover for his character."

We also hear that Malayalam girl Ivana, who played the role of a minor girl in Naachiyaar, will be a part of the film. "The story revolves around these two characters," adds the source.

Meanwhile, Gautham Menon is also waiting to complete the shoot of Dhanush's much-awaited film, Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta and simultaneously working on Vikram’s Dhruva Natchathiram.
