Hyderabad: Stepfather molested minor daughter

Hyderabad, Aug 05: In a gruesome incident, A 11-year-old girl was molested by her stepfather at their residence in Saroornagar when they were alone at home.

According to the police, the minor girl and her mother were residing at Saroornagar after her father expired and that is when Bhoosharaju Ramaswamy, 42, a driver married her, said the Police Inspector of Saroornagar, S. Lingaiah.

"Since the past four years she and her mother have been living together at Bhoosharaju's house along with his first wife and their son. On July 13, when there was no one at home, Bhoosharaju molested her and when she opposed him", he sexually assaulted her.

He further warned her stepdaughter that he will kill her if she reveals the matter to others, said the official. Based on her complaint, a case was registered under section 376 (2) IPC and under relevant sections of POCSO Act and arrested the man.
