Indian Mom Gets Dream Flight after her daughter piloted her

Bangalore, Aug 04: A young pilot's career reached new heights when she successfully gave her mother's dream flight. Air India First Officer Ashritta Chinchankar piloted her mother's last flight as an air hostess.

Pooja Chichankar is the senior most air hostess of Air India and she got a dream flight from her daughter on her last working day.

Ashrrita Chichankar is the daughter of Pooja Chichankar who is a pilot and she has piloted the last flight of her mother from Bengaluru to Mumbai.

Ashritta tweeted the heartwarming moment on July 31.

She captioned, "So happy and honored to be able to pilot the one flight that mattered… As she retires after her glorious 38 years of service, I will be carrying on with her legacy."

The whole cabin crew and the passengers erupted in a roar of applause when the flight began its initial descent. Pooja Chichankar has worked for Air India for a long period of 38 years.

As of August 3, the post has collected nearly 15,000 likes. Ahsritta told the BBC she was both happy and overwhelmed because people could relate to it.

Many people who saw the tweet were elated. Among those who noticed the tale was, of course, Air India, and India's Minister for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha.
