Amaravati, Aug 04: Actor-turned-Politician Megastar Chiranjeevi who had made his 150 films in Telugu film Industry has become the King of Tollywood with huge fan following.
Chiranjeevi ruled the Telugu film industry for three decades and still there is no one visible in the distant future who can replace his unique position in Tollywood.
Later, the actor entered Politics by launching a party called Prajarajyam in the state of undivided Andhra Pradesh. In the 2009 general elections, the party won 18 of the 295 seats in the Andhra Pradesh State Assembly.
However, he was elected a Member of the State Assembly from Tirupati. Chiranjeevi who entered politics with PRP could not succeed to the expectations and finally merged his party in Congress.
Chiranjeevi is now maintaining sleep mode in politics while Congress is hoping that he would be star campaigner for the party in AP.
He contested from both Tirupati and Palakollu Constituencies for MLA in the 2009 general elections, winning in Tirupati but losing out in Palakollu, in West-Godavari district.
